"Store Pickup by Genie Apps” provides in store pickup option who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Information collected from Merchants and customers of Merchants:

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account. Details are listed below:

1. Read and Write Orders:

Order information is pulled from Shopify account into the app and is critical to its functioning. Order information is used for reporting feature of the app. Orders are also tagged due to this permission. In case of pickup orders, the orders are tagged with pickup information.

2. Read and Write Themes:

We request the above permission to add App's code directly into theme. It is required to make the installation process smooth for the merchants so they don't have to add code manually. In some time, we'll be using theme app extensions so won't require this.

3. Read and Write Products:

We are creating a pickup product on installation of our app. Whenever customer selects instore pickup option, pickup product is automatically added to the cart. On the basis of that pickup product, free pickup option automatically comes up and get selected at checkout.

4. Read Shop Information:

Shopify provides basic shop information such as shop's name, email, store owner's name and email. We save this information to customize the app and to identify customer service requests.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information, we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to: Communicate with you; Optimize or improve the App, and Provide you with information relating to our products or services.

Minors and Children's Policy:

Our app is not intended for children. If you are under 14, you may use the site and services with the supervision of your parent or guardian.

How do we keep your personal information secure?

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us both during transmission and once we receive it. Your data is stored in AWS database which has highly secure storage infrastructure. Our database is configured to encrypt customer data stored at rest and also in transit. Our database activities are logged for any monitoring.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not and never will share, disclose, rent or otherwise provide personal information to other companies for the marketing of their own products or services. We do not use the personal information, we collect from you or your customers to independently contact or market to your customers.

Data Retention:

We automatically delete all the associated data as soon as the application is uninstalled. Basic shop information such as shop's address, email, phone is kept saved for 1 year. You can email us at to delete that as well before 1 year.
